About 'good college in california'|Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray that I get in to a good college

My               husband               works               for               a               local               high               school               in               Southern               California.

For               the               past               five               years,               we               have               seen               education               take               big               cuts.

Some               years,               there               have               been               more               furlough               days               for               the               teachers.

Most               years               there               have               been               salary               reductions.

There               have               been               deep               cuts               in               educational               programs               and               class               sizes               continue               to               rise.

However,               like               any               ballot               initiative,               there               are               also               shortcomings               to               Prop               30.

Instead,               politicians               can               take               "existing               money               for               schools,"               use               it               for               other               purposes               and               replace               the               funds               with               these               new               taxes.

This               sounds               a               little               fishy               to               me.

In               addition,               the               government               needs               to               do               a               better               job               managing               their               money.
